With perfect racing conditions, the lap record was always in danger, with, Gavin Bennett, Carl Hulme & Liam Morley all lapping within the previous record throughout qualifying & opening two races. Come the final race of the day it was Morley who set the final benchmark , on his way to securing the UK Cup. With a time of 01:03.587, he took a second off the previous best, with the Superkart now nearly 3 seconds a lap faster than Superbike around the circuit.
