After a very successful kart year in 2008, Bishopscourt Kart Club are continuing with their plans for their first meeting of the year the "King of the court" meeting on 6th June 2009.
The club house will be filled to capacity until the early hours on Friday evening for the clubs now traditional FREE BBQ & Karaoke, so eat, sing and be merry. Camping facilities are also available for the Friday evening overnight stay making it much more convenient for all competitors.
Entries MUST be received with PAYMENT by Monday 1st June 2009. Any entries received LATER than this will NOT BE ACCEPTED!
Kart racing is very susceptible in the current credit crunch with it being an expensive sport. Bishopscourt & Kirkistown race circuits if they do not receive strong support from us racers, these circuits could be lost to other stronger sports, so beat the recession and keep our sport alive for the good times to come. If these circuits are lost it will have a serious impact to kart racing in Northern Ireland and especially Nutts Corner Circuit by racers who want the variety of circuits quitting the sport altogether.
This event needs your support as it will influence whether there will be any future events at the Bishopscourt Circuit or you might not have the option!!! Karts are very lucky to get two days a year at this magnificent circuit and cars do not even get a chance to race here, but this could change if entries are not received. PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTRY FEE IS NOT £110-00 BUT ONLY A BARGAIN FOR A VERY FAST TRACK AT £65-00.
So all you one circuit wonders come and race at Bishopscourt Race Circuit and you could be the next "KING OF THE COURT", While gathering points for the most prestigious NORTHERN IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIP.
Following the succesful running of the Superkart UK Cup at Bishopscourt in 2008, the Bishopscourt Kart Club will concentrate on stabilising the club through 2009, will also looking to improve the number of non-gearbox drivers who compete at the fast & flowing Co. Down venue. The club will again run two Northern Ireland Championship events on 6th June & 26th September.
